Clinicians will get back to your email and/or phone call on their next available scheduled work day, unless they are on vacation. In those situations, we will ensure that another HopeWell clinician follows up with you.
Lana Gajic
Lana is an experienced clinician who has completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a Specialization in Psychology and a Master of Counselling degree with Honours with Distinction. She has supported clients in various capacities for almost twenty years and is a Registered Psychologist and a Grief Recovery Specialist. Lana provides counselling both on-line and in-person.
Lana helps people who are struggling to cope with difficult life changes/transitions and stressful situations/events that often lead people to have an overwhlemed nervous system and high anxiety. She is a trauma expert with years of experience treating trauma-based memories and events such as automobile accidents, workplace injury, and sexual abuse. She merges science and spirituality to help people cope with the anxiety that comes about when a person experiences a spiritual awakening. Lana is an expert on Divorce and Breakup Recovery. She has written the Book: Breakup to Breakthrough – 10 Steps to a Spiritually Enlightened Life Ater Divorce.
Lana’s eclectic approach to counselling is designed to help clients work through and release stuck emotions and stuck physical sensations. Lana knows that effective therapy must offer a place where clients can both TALK as well as EXPERIENCE, FEEL, and PROCESS their emotional and physical sensations. People are resourceful and smart and they can think through their options, list the pros and cons of various options, and come up with a solid plan of action. In other words, clients often don’t need help making rational decisions. However, people do often need help to resolve and heal from emotional struggles and resolve emotional blocks/baggage that can overwhelm and burden one’s mind and body. Emotional struggles/blocks are in the non-verbal hemisphere of the brain and healing occurs when the client is supported and shown how to feel, sense, and experience his/her emotions and body sensations. Talking about things won’t change how you feel about it. Learning to feel and release emotional energy is what leads to healing of your emotions and body sensations.
Lana is one of a few Psychologists who uses both science and spirituality in her work, because she realizes that more and more people are having spiritual awakenings and this comes with a lot of uncertainty and anxiety. Although she works with both men and women, Lana’s passion is to guide and support women aged sixteen and older. Her passion is helping women get through life’s struggles and transitions with ease and grace, get over any trauma, trust their intuition, find and use their voice, and enhance their self-confidence and self-trust.
When she is not counselling, Lana likes to spend time outdoors, especially in the summer-time. She enjoys travelling, kayaking, hiking, and having get-togethers with family and friends.
